Drupal and the New Look & Feel - II

This is in continuation to my previous article about why I choose Drupal as the CMS for my home site. It is quite some time that I have been using Drupal and now right time to pen down about my impression and experience. Though, I haven't tried any other CMS and it can be argued that when I haven't tried any other CMS how I could be sure that this is one of the best one's around.

My HTPC

The article contains the details of my HTPC (Home Theatre PC) and all the excitement associated with it. I started building it with great zeal and then there was a time when I had all the components with me for more than 8 weeks and I was unable to figure out which component is faulty. Nevertheless, I managed to identify that the RAM was faulty and not the PSU. I got it RMA'd and once it booted up, it started to rock.

Configuring MythTV

In progress...

Configuring HTPC

This is collection of bits & pieces that I put together to get the box up and running. This is in fact my server that runs 24x7. The box runs on Ubuntu and provide the services like http, ssh, ftp and hosts my personal website. MythTV is also installed on the box and thus serves as the media server. Being media server it is hooked to my TV and sits with my Sky+ box and AV reciever.

MythTV the Media Center Engine

Sorry Folks! but you need a username and password to reach the web interface of my media center. Unfortunately, I have to protect it as the interface allows to change the media center settings. One can even delete the media files from the web interface and hence I can't open it for public.
